Is your cat plotting to kill you?

My fabulous friend Margaret from "Mamadrama" ( tagged me for a "Six Random Things About Me" meme. Margaret is going to having very first baby in the next couple of months...and it's a boy. I've been reading her blog at a different site before she even started writing for we go way back!

I love getting tagged!! I love that Margaret reads my blog. ( I also love that Kathy, Katie, Kristy, Kim, Big Hair Envy, Tori, Mother, Amanda, Deb, Mhari,Joy, Lois,Courtnie & sometimes Jason read my blog. If I didn't name you it's because I don't know that you are reading. Drop me a line and let me know...)

So, here's the rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you. CHECK
2. Post the rules on your blog. CHECK
3. Write six random things about yourself.CHECK
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they've been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up. CHECK

1. My biggest regret in life is that I put off having a baby and then when I decided that it was time I found out that I couldn't have babies.
2. When ever I hear music I want to do 2 things: dance to it or conduct it. Most of the time I do at least one of these things, much to the chagrin of Amanda.(caveat..not when I hear rap. I don't consider that music. It's irritating noise)
3. Something I never thought I'd hear myself say but is now oh, so true: It would be the answer to many of my dreams to own my own washer and dryer. (Dream big...)
4.I didn't eat a single piece of Halloween candy.
5. I. Hate. My. Job.
6. If my sister was on the moon, and it was covered in fire and there were monsters everywhere and she needed help I'd be the first one to get up there and rescue her but if she was in the room next to me and it was full of snakes...she'd be on her own.

Sadly enough I'm not on friendly enough terms with any other bloggers so I don't feel right tagging anyone. But I'd like to encourage Tori, Amanda, Katie, Kathy, Deb, Courtnie & Mhari to start their own blogs and use this as their first post.

Nort Report

I'm happy to announce that Nort is growing fat and sassy! Since her brush with death she has continued to have a little bit of a problem with her hind legs but it really doesn't slow her down at all. It's only when she takes her first couple of steps that you can even tell that anything is wrong. She's a little wobbly and if she isn't paying 100% attention to what she's doing then her rear end doesn't exactly coordinate with her front end and it kind of goes in the opposite direction. This has not stopped her from jumping on to the kitchen counter or on to the back of the couch. Her favorite place to play is inside the bath tub. It takes her a couple of jumps in order to get out of the tub but she's never been stuck in there

As you can tell by this picture she hasn't missed a meal since the day she was born. Her cleft lip hasn't caused her any problems at all. She can eat and meow with the best of then. She looks especially fat in this picture because she is actually sitting on top of a plastic Christmas bulb. I have spent countless dollars on actual cat toys for her and her brethren but they hold no interest for any of them. They spend weeks and weeks playing with the carton that once held 12 Diet Cokes and they all love to play with the plastic lid to the inside spout of a carton of Mocha Mix. I've learned my lesson and will henceforth do all of my cat toy shopping at the Christmas store and at the grocery store.

Of the 5 of my kitties Nort is the sweetest. She is the only one who will let me hold her and I'm sure that is because of how much we held her when she was sick. The instant I pick her up she starts to purr and blink her eyes but she is still a very busy teen aged cat and doesn't like to be held for long. She lives to bite my feet as they hang over the edge of the love seat or to attack my socks as I walk past her. She loves to eat Feline Greenies and can play with the cord to the front door blinds for hours. She plays hard and she sleeps hard. (She also snores.) She loves to be combed but she is certain that I'm trying to murder her when I try to clip her nails.

That's all for this issue of the Nort Report. Next time I will try to post a picture of Matilda.

Catching up with Dave

Well, last month was Halloween. I had big plans to go partay with my peeps from the local tattoo parlor, I was gonna get them all liquored up and then convince them that I deserved a free tattoo but I couldn't even get out of the house. That two legged woman I live with thought that I needed a costume. Doesn't she know that just being Dave Navarro is awesome enough? I didn't need any help from her. I fought as best I could with out creating any actual blood shed but she still managed to get some pictures of me before I could break free of the humiliation she heaped on me.

An orange haired witch? Is she serious? How totally lame is that? I tried to convince that woman that it looked much better on Nort but stupid Nort didn't like it either.

Ashleigh, Elijah and Matilda ran off and hid and laughed at us. (Way to circle the wagons there MI FAMILIA!) I had to do something about this stupid hat or else that two legger would have kept trying to make me wear it. I dragged it to the floor in hopes that someone would pee on it but no one would come out of hiding to help me out so I had to resort to my other favorite method of irritating that woman.

Nothing to see here...I'm just wearing this lovely witches la la la la....

I'm just going to lay on it so that no one can hurt it. You know, I'm going to keep it really safe.

NOM! NOM! NOM! I'm going to eat up all these orange curls! She will be cleaning this mess up for weeks!

Oh, man...I'm not feelin so hot...mebbe I shouldn't have eaten that last curl.....

(Note from the Two Legger: I only had to clean it up once...and I don't think Dave will be consuming any more wigs for a while....)

Catching up (the brief version)

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted but I was afflicted with a killer sinus infection. Thought it was allergies from all of the wind we've been having here in so Cal. Then when it didn't go away I figured I had caught a cold. But then when my teeth started to hurt and my face felt like it had been filled up with sand I figured a sinus infection was on it's way. Sometimes I can just live through sinus infections if I have enough Flo-nase and kleenex. This wasn't the case this time and I got really sick. Fevers and aches and pains and the whole 9 yards. After being harrassed and harangued almost hourly by my sister I finally dragged my fanny to urgent care. (note to anyone who's listening: when picking an urgent care facility during insurance open enrollment time...pick one close to your home, not your work. Having your doc close to your work is convenient for appointments made when you are not in the throes of death but when you are siiiick the last thing you want to do is have to drive on highways and bi-ways to get yourself medical care.)

In addition to the huge antibiotic pills I was instructed to take twice a day for 10 days the doc gave me a Netti Pot. Pouring water in my nose is really not something I'd ever find myself doing but since I enjoy the occasional in take of oxygen...I tried it. I'm happy to report that it really wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Since you are supposed to have your head tilted to the side the water doesnt' go down your throat and drown just comes right out of the other nostril. After you have doused both nostrils you simply need to blow your nose for the next 10 hours and relief is upon you. (note to self: lock cats out of the bathroom the next time you attempt to use netti pot so that Lorenzo doesn't wind up with saline solution in his eyes.)

I was just starting to feel a tad better when I was stricken with a stomach bug. I've consumed enough Pepto-Bismal to choke a horse and have since switched to pure aloe vera juice. The aloe vera juice tastes like crushed up aspirin which is really disgusting but I've found that it goes down easier than Pepto and it seems to work better, too.

In all I've been under the weather for about 3 weeks and I've had enough of being sick and tired. I have many emails to which I need to respond and I have a lot more things to write about that happened before I got sick. So...while I'm taking care of business and writing new blog posts I'm going to leave you with one of my favorite catergories: "Where's My Red Pen?"

Who was stupid enough to order and PAY for a sign that said, "Re-Grand Opening" instead of "Grand Re-Opening"? This is currently hanging in the shopping center in Anaheim on Harbor Blvd. down the street from Disneyland. I love it when people from all over the world can witness the profound grammatical talents of we southern Californians.

Book Review

I would like to thank the people who took the time to comment on my book. I would also like to apologize for taking so long to publish your comments. Usually when I have a comment waiting on my blog...BlogSpot will email me and tell me that I have a comment that needs to be reviewed, but for what ever has stopped doing that. So as I've sat having my pitty party thinking that no one was impressed at all with my book...I was just told by my sister that she knows that there are comments waiting for me to publish. I thought she had lost her mind but I came here and checked anyway and lo and behold....comments. That need to be published.

Thank you for your kind words. As I acknowledged earlier I know that the book was very disorganized and it just kind of stops with now warning. When my sister gave me her copy of the book I didn't even look at it. I just scanned it and posted it. Then my mom informed me that it was missing page 13 and page 14 is in there twice... and the ending just came out of no where. I have no idea what happened to page 13, nor do I know why page 14 was so popular....but as far as the ending is concerned.....I wrote several drafts of this book and I thought my sister had the most current copy but apparently she didn't. I've gotten another version from my mom but I hesitate to post it because I don't think anyone is going to want to read the same book twice even though the 2nd edition is a tad more complete than the first version.

My goal in the next year will be to pick up where the book left off and write about my 2nd bout with cancer, my subsequent two divorces and the various and asundried other "Boobs In My Life".
